Andrea is from Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK where she trained with Barbara Mann Dance Academy, The Linley School of Dance and  Lynne Walker of The Scala Kids School of Performing Arts. She received extensive training in Ballet, Modern Dance, Tap and Performing Arts.  

 

Scala Kids Casting, the schools agency has a reputation nation-wide for providing first class, well disciplined children for Film, Theatre and TV. including child actors in Emmerdale Soap drama and many West End Musicals.  Andrea moved to Galway when she was 16 years and on her departure she received a glowing reference from her teacher & mentor Lynne Walker,  "I have had the great pleasure of knowing Andrea for 5 years and have watched her matured from a very sensible and  talented pupil to an extremely dedicated and capable student teacher". 

 

Andrea brought her talents to Galway and over the past 40 years she has shared these talents with many many children.​As well as her passion for dancing and  she also trained and competed in Baton Twirling. She was a member of the British Baton Twirling Association and the National Baton Twirling Association where she excelled in both examinations and competitions throughout the UK.

Andrea's choreography and teaching skills were highly sought after across the UK and Ireland.  In addition to dance and baton twirling choreography Andrea has choreographed for many Musical Societies throughout Galway city and county. Some of these musicals include Renmore Pantomime 1990, Singing in the Rain, Little Shop of Horrors, Orpheus in the Underworld, Die Fledermaus, La Traviata, Madame Butterfly, Guys and Dolls, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Bye Bye Birdie.​Andrea is an active member of ARBTA (Association of Russian Ballet and Theatre Arts).

 

She has recently received ARBTA Certificate in Contemporary Dance Teachers Intensive Grade 1 to Grade 8  and looks forward to continuing with her CPD in dance.​ We are delighted to have Andrea as a long established teacher at our school.
